One person, One family, One community At a time.
CORE VALUES

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. – Hebrew 11:6

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. – 1 John 4:7

OBEDIENCE

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ – 2 Corinthians 10:5

WORSHIP

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. – John 4:24
Statement of Faith

The basis of our belief is the Holy Bible, the infallible Word of God. However, there are some fundamental truths that a person must affirm if they desire to consistently fellowship within our Body. We affirm these as the basic tenets of our faith and seek to proclaim the Gospel as embodied in the statements below.

We believe:
  • one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost;
  • the divine inspiration and trustworthiness of the Holy Bible in the original manuscripts and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct;
  • all people were shaped in iniquity and in sin were they conceived, rendering them subject to God’s wrath;
  • Jesus Christ, the living Word, is the only begotten Son of the Father;
  • through Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of God the Father; we have redemption from sin; and
  • the presence and power of the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, by whose indwelling every Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

God, the Father

We believe that there is one God (Deut. 6:4; I Cor. 8:4) who eternally exists (Psalm 90:2) in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14). We believe that the Father is a name relative to God Almighty (Gen. 17:1; 35:10-11; 48:3). We believe this name describes his relationship and is to be an everlasting name (Isa. 9:6) by which His children of adoption are to call Him (Rom. 8:16).

Christ, the Son of God

We believe that the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Godhead (I John 5:7; Col. 2:9; Phil. 2:7-8), became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He began taking upon himself the form of a servant and was made flesh and became a person (John 1:1, 14, 18; 5:18). Son is a name and the only name by which the Father has acknowledged Him. By this name, Jesus introduced Himself (Heb. 1:1-9; 5:8; I John 5:20; I Tim. 2:5).

Scripture, the Word of God

We believe the Old and New Testaments are the only written Word of God. The authority of the Scriptures derived from the fact that God, through the Holy Ghost, inspired man, causing him to perceive God’s truth and record it with accuracy (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21). The Bible is God’s written message to the world revealing His character, calling persons to a relationship with Himself, identifying the essence of the Christian faith, and guiding believers in all aspects of daily living.

Holy Ghost

We believe that the Holy Ghost, the third person of the Godhead (I Cor. 2:10-11; 12:11), is not just an influence having intellect, emotions, and a will of His own. We believe Him to be an disembodied person who proceeds from the Father and is sent forth to testify of the Son. The present ministry of the Holy Ghost is restraining sin in the world, convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (Eph. 5:18; Gal. 5:16, 22-23). He also regenerates believers in Christ, baptizes them into the church, bestowing spiritual gifts upon each one, and fills those who yield to Him (Titus 3:5).
