Statement of Love
We believe that love is not a feeling, love is a decision you make and continue to make. Love is an action that if you don't use it you lose it. Love is not something that happens to you but something that you make happen to you and happen to others. Love is something that grows from your actions and decisions.
We believe that the Word of God provides the supreme definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13:
- Love never gives up.
- Love cares more for others than for self.
- Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
- Love doesn't strut,
- Doesn't have a swelled head,
- Doesn't force itself on others,
- Isn't always "me first",
- Doesn't fly off the handle,
- Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
- Doesn't revel when other grovel,
- Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
- Puts up with anything,
- Trust God always,
- Always looks for the best,
- Never looks back,
- But keeps going to the end.
- Loves never dies.
